Newdays Pharmacy is an established, independently owned community pharmacy group in Berkshire.
We have four pharmacies based in Coley Park, nr Reading town centre, in Twyford, Berkshire, in Lane End High Wycombe and in Eton Windsor. At Newdays Pharmacy we dispense both NHS and private prescriptions. We always keep a record of what we supply to our patients, so we can tell whether it is safe for you to take the newly prescribed medicine together with any other medication you may be taking.

01Needle Exchange

We provide access to sterile needles and syringes, and sharps containers for return of used equipment. We also provide condoms, citric acid and swabs, to promote safe injecting practice and reduce transmission of infections by substance misusers.

03Supply Of Medication For Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common problem that affects half of all men aged between 40 and 70 to some extent. In reality, a significant proportion of men under 40 are also affected by ED. It is the inability to form and maintain an erection sufficient for intercourse. In some cases, there may be underlying causes for ED, but in the majority of cases a simple drug treatment may resolve the problem.

04Care Home And Nursing Home Training

We can provide all the mandatory and short course care training you need to meet the Common Induction Standards or ensure continuous professional development. Our care training courses are delivered in your workplace at a time convenient to you and each course can accommodate up to 15 attendees. Our care training programs meet the requirement of CQC and care courses delivered can be tailored specifically for your organisations needs.

06NHS Flu Vaccination

Our pharmacies also participate in NHS immunisation each year. For most people, flu is an unpleasant illness, but it's not serious. If you are otherwise healthy, you will usually recover from flu without major complication after a week or two.

07Confidential Help & Advice

At Newdays Pharmacy we have a private consultation room where you can talk with the pharmacist about any health concerns that you may have. We will be able to provide you with quick and accurate advice, to help put your mind at ease.

08Private Seasonal Vaccination

If you want to help protect yourself against flu this winter, our Winter Flu Jab Service is here to help. Even if you had a flu vaccination last year, you may consider having it again this year to protect yourself against the viruses responsible for causing most cases of flu, including the H1N1 (swine flu) virus.

09Emergency Hormonal Contraception

Also known as the morning after pill, our pharmacists will supply Levonorgestrel when appropriate to clients in line with the requirements of a locally agreed Patient Group Direction (PGD). This service is available to women aged 13 years and over.

10Medicines Assessment & Compliance Support

The pharmacy will help support independent living in groups of vulnerable people, or those with special needs, who do not fall within the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 criteria.

11Supervised Consumption Service

his service require the pharmacist to supervise the consumption of prescribed medicines at the point of dispensing in the pharmacy, ensuring that the dose has been administered to the patient.

12Medicine Use Review

You can make an appointment with our pharmacist to discuss how you are getting on with your regular medicines or talk about any new medications. It will allow you to learn more about your medicines and ask any questions you may have, and if you are having difficulties taking your medicines our pharmacist may be able to assist.
